Gavala Aboriginal Art and Cultural Centre was established in 1995 by a family of Aboriginal artists. Gavala is now the premier place to buy authentic Aboriginal art and artifacts and is Sydneys only Aboriginal owned and operated retail centre and fine art gallery. Visitors can buy there authentic Aboriginal products that are licensed, authorised or purchased direct from the artists or communities. They can also learn the meanings of symbols nad how the Dreaming Stories relate to each painting. Gavala Art Centre has a large selection of authentic Aboriginal paintings, boomerangs, didgeridoos, handmade ceremonial artifacts, books, clothing, jewellery, ceramics, CD's and DVD"s. The Centre is designed to promote the interest of Aboriginal artists and communities all over Australia.
